IPF Patients Sandra Rock (Sacramento, CA) and Trudy Vanderbeck (Vincennes, IN) in Washington DC October 5, 2004 for numerous meetings on Capital Hill to advocate on behalf of all those fighting IPF. Sandra and Trudy also facilitate IPF Support groups in their local community.

CPF Board member Teresa Barnes, who has lost four family members to IPF, meets with Rep. Joe Barton, Chair of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, which has oversight of Medicare and Medicaid and public health issues, and Rep. Charles Norwood, who is also an IPF Patient. Just five days after our meetings with Rep.Norwood, he received a lung transplant at Inova Fairfax Hospital (Vienna, VA)
